    Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) training is intended for adults who regularly interact with adolescents ages 12–18, including nurses, parents, teachers, school staff, coaches, youth group leaders, healthcare professionals, and community members. Participants learn how to recognize and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges and crises among youth.

    Training is FREE to all participants and includes a complimentary light breakfast, lunch, FREE T-shirt, FREE books, and additional learning resources. This program is made possible through the ARISE Grant from the California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA). Participants who are nurses may receive 6.5 contact hours upon completion of the training.
