Family Day - POSTPONED (TBD)

Purposes:

  • Members bonding / Team building
  • Getting-to-know the organization
  • Promote A-C-T M-O-R-E theme of current leadership
  • Membership Campaign

Attendees:

Members /Leaders of PNASC, Orange County subchapter, West LA subchapter, and guests (colleagues, family members and friends).

Procedure / Mechanics:

  • All attendees, if possible, are divided into 6 families or teams. Each team is assigned a COLOR as its official name and a nickname.

  • There is a designated leader for each team. Overall chair and co chair of Family Fun Day are excluded to lead their team (Adolfo, Vicky, and Reggie).
  • Each team is assigned a food /dish for the potluck that is good for 70-100 persons.
  • Food assignments: 1) chicken, 2) fish /seafood, 3) beef, 4) dessert /fruits and 5) pizza/drinks/water.  The leader of each family /team will select one of the items in food assignment and facilitate its adequate preparation and timely procurement. Any suggestions for different items are welcomed. The leader checks-in with any one of organizers with concerns /issues throughout the preparation process.
  • No maximum for the number of participants in each team. The more participants, the higher the chance of winning the games and other surprises.
  • The PNASC-West LA subchapter is the main sponsor whose members / leaders are in charge to facilitate the food / supplies (utensils), games, prizes, venue setup, and aftercare.
  • Check-in date to estimate the number of attendees/guests on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 12 pm.

  • Goal number of participants: 70-100+
  • Others: no loud sounds or boombox; no vendors; inflatable slides are negotiable. Maximum time of park space usage is 5 hours. Free parking.
